More Centerpiece Ideas

My mom and I have been going back and forth trying to think of an inexpensive, cute centerpiece idea that is practical for those guests who want to take one home with them, as is typical at weddings.
At first, I was just going to do the clear wine bottles with a piece of lace tied around them and a few flowers but we've thrown that idea out the window for a cuter one!

We want to put little cacti in tiny mason jars or tin buckets, and also have different themes at the tables. Like possibly having three different themes; succulents, cacti, and seedlings, all in the tiny mason jars or tin buckets. I love the idea, if I were a guest at my wedding I would take everything home! Free adorable plants that are super easy to take care of? Yes please! Not to mention, at the worst you can re use the cute little mason jars or tin buckets for plants of your own, or just as cups or decoration.

We could also put them in the clay pots, but I don't know how much I like the look of that. Maybe we could use all three ideas, seedlings in tiny mason jars, cacti in tin buckets, and succulents in clay pots... I like it! But then there might be too much inconsistency? My mom and I are going to make a mock table so we can decide then what we like I think. Although, the favors are going to be in little mason jars so it would probably be best to stick to using those.

I am so excited right now, there are only 46 days or so until the wedding!  Macy's is having some really good sales on our registry items right now and I am really hoping to get my tea set! Or that I had my own money to buy it! We get 20% off until the 18th of this month, plus its on sale, so hopefully someone or multiple people pull together and get it while they can! Anyway, back on topic to centerpieces!

Cacti centrepieces
These are some beautiful colors! I had a moon cactus that was brightly colored like this, maybe we could find something similar to it at the Home Depot. Of course, we'll have to stay within the color scheme I have, which includes cherry, tangerine, bluebell, butter yellow, and coral.

I like how the cacti are in those rocks instead of just dirt. My mom and I were talking about doing that too, but I think that if we are going to, then the pebbles should be a little smaller than these ones.

These are almost exactly what we want! The pebbles are more like the size I want, and the different styles of the succulents and cacti is perfect. The only difference is that I want ours to be in mason jars, although I do like these vases, or are they glasses? We could do that too, get dollar store glasses instead of mason jars. But I wonder which is more inexpensive?

This wedding has a very cute idea for how to do the cactus centerpieces.

REVEL: Colorful Sand Centerpieces (closest I have found so far to cactus in jar of colored sand)
We could also use sand instead of pebbles, and add some color to it. It would look better in a smaller mason jar, I think.

wedding succulents
I love the use of different containers and the bright colors.

These little buckets are so cute! I love the mixture of the flowers with the succulents.

Succulent Cactus Wedding Centerpieces @Jackie Baca arent they lovely? I can get these!!
SMART! Start seedlings in lemon peels (or other citrus fruit). Then, you can plant the whole thing and the peel will just decompose. Brilliant. And picture a bunch of these as a centerpiece on a table (with basil or mint in them). Oh yeah!
Instead of just tree sapplings, we could have seedlings for other plants, like basil, or mint.
budding seedlings placed in sleek sake cups get grouped together on tables for a centerpiece and favor display full of visual interest.
Fever-tree seedling favors.
If I were to have some of the centerpieces as tree sapplings, then they would be White Cedar trees.

That's all I've got on my pinterest so far! Hopefully I can get some pictures up from my wedding shower that was on the 26th! It was so much fun having all my friends and family around, just us gals! A special thanks goes out to Susan and Shelly for throwing it for me, it was the best tea party I've ever been to!

Happy Planning!
Rachel
